Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how FESTEL uses and protects any information that you give FESTEL when you use this website. FESTEL is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should you provide information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

FESTEL may change this policy from time to time by updating this page.

Handling of personal data

Personal data refers to information that can be used to identify an individual, i.e. statements that can be traced back to that individual. This includes their name, email address or telephone number. FESTEL only collects, uses and passes on personal data if this is legally permissible or the users concerned give their consent for the data to be collected. When making contact with FESTEL (e.g. by email), the user’s statements are stored for the purpose of processing the request and in order to answer any subsequent questions.

Information collected by E-mail

If you send us an e-mail, we will collect your e-mail address and the contents of your message. We will use your e-mail address and the information included in your message to respond to you, to address the issues you identify, and to improve this web site. We may also use your e-mail address to notify you about updates and services offered by us. If you would prefer not to receive e-mail or other communications from us, contact us at info@festel.com

Cookies

A cookie is information that a website stores on your computer so that it can remember something about you at a later time. Cookies are commonly used on the internet and do not harm your system.

No cookies are currently used on the FESTEL website.

In the event of any future usage, they will not include any information that others could read and understand about you, and will be used primarily to improve the use of this site and for your own browsing convenience.

Access data/server log files

We have access to the log analysis tool AWStats through our Plesk hosting server. AWStats evaluates log files that web servers create based on visitor queries. AWStats is server resident, does not use cookie files for its analysis and collects anonymous data. The statistical analysis is carried out via the log files, which also contain IP addresses. The IP addresses are shortened so as to make it impossible to relate them to an individual person. There is no linking of this data to other data sources.

AWStats does not transmit data to external servers, as the programme is installed on our own hosting platform. This avoids any possible transmission of data abroad or to third parties, as our server is located in Switzerland.

AWStats allows us to track how popular our site is and to record visitor trends over time. We have access to data which includes:

- the Internet Protocol address and domain name of your Internet Service Provider

- the type of browser and operating system used;

- the date and time our website was visited, the web pages or services accessed and amount of time spent at each page; and

- the web page from which our website was accessed and from which any page on this site was linked.

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. These websites are not under our control and are not subject to our privacy policy. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy policy applicable to the website in question.

Consent

By using the site, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your information by us in the manner described in this privacy policy and elsewhere on the site.

Revocation, modifications, reports and updates

On request, the user has the right to be informed free of charge about any personal data that may have been stored. The user also has the right to have incorrect data corrected and personal data blocked and deleted, provided this is not ruled out by a statutory obligation to retain data.

Disclosure of information to third parties

FESTEL shall not intentionally disclose or transfer (and shall take reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality and security, and to prevent the unauthorised or accidental disclosure of) any personally identifiable information to third parties (i.e., persons or entities that are not affiliates of FESTEL), whether for such third parties' marketing purposes or otherwise, subject only to the following four exceptions: FESTEL may disclose personally identifiable information to third parties in the event that such disclosure is required by the laws, rules, or regulations of any nation, state, or other applicable jurisdiction; FESTEL may disclose contact information to third parties as appropriate for FESTEL to make transmissions or deliveries to you; FESTEL may disclose personally identifiable information if, in connection with submitting the information, you consent to such disclosure; and FESTEL may disclose contact information for you in response to inquiries by bona-fide rights owners in connection with allegations of infringement of copyright or other proprietary rights arising from information you have posted on the site or otherwise provided to FESTEL.

Security

FESTEL has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personally identifiable information from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorised FESTEL personnel are provided access to personally identifiable information, and these employees are required to treat this information as confidential. Despite these precautions, FESTEL cannot guarantee that unauthorised persons will not obtain access to your personally identifiable information. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Children's on-line privacy protection

FESTEL understands the importance of protecting children's privacy, especially in an on-line environment. The site is not intentionally designed for or directed at children 13 years of age or younger, and FESTEL will not intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13.
