Commercialisation

Production of Hydrocarbons from Natural Gas: Oxygen free process that overcomes carbon loss and catalyst instability in current methyl bromide conversion systems.

Start ups

BUTALCO GmbH assesses and develops new production processes for second generation biofuels and biochemicals based on lignocellulose. The core technology is based on (genetically) optimised yeasts (Saccharomyces cerevisiae).

AlgMax GmbH develops technologies for the production of biomass from algae grown in closed systems, which can be used in areas such as the production of biodiesel or in biogas plants.  Algae are developed which require no light to grow or after an initial light induction require no light for further growth.
