Kick-off event for the Founding Angels Clubs at the Ministry of Economics within the Gründerwoche in Berlin (November 2010)
Gunter Festel organised the kick-off event for the Founding Angels Clubs on 18th November 2010 at the German Ministry of Economics and Technology in Berlin together with CIB Frankfurt. Within this event, representatives from universities, technology transfer agencies and investors gave presentations.

Presentation about the research achievements of Butalco at the Bioenergy International Expo & Conference in Prague (May 2010)
The Swiss biofuel company Butalco was invited as presenting company at the Bioenergy International Expo & Conference in Prague, Czech Republik, on 5th May 2010. Gunter Festel, as CEO of Butalco, gave a presentation describing the recent research achievements of Butalco in the field of second generation biofuels with the title "Producing 2nd Gen. Bioethanol and Biobutanol from Lignocellulosic Biomass".
Presentation of industrial biotechnology perspectives at an OECD Workshop in Vienna (January 2010)
Gunter Festel gave, in his role as OECD advisor, two presentations with the titles "Industry Structure and Business Models for Industrial Biotechnology and Financing" and "Investment Models in Industrial Biotechnology" at a workshop of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Vienna, Austria, on 14th January 2010 and was co-author of the OECD publication “Outlook on Industrial Biotechnology”.
